Can I choose the edited photos?
We personally select the best photos to edit. However, if you’d prefer to choose them yourself, please let us know before the session. We can send you all the unedited photos first, so you can pick your favorites for editing.
I’d prefer to choose the photos for editing myself. What happens if I forget and contact you a year later?
If you choose to select your own photos, please send us your list by the end of October, when we wrap up our season. If you forget and contact us a year later, an additional €80 editing fee will apply.
What does post-production include?
We perform professional color correction and color grading on all selected images. We do not retouch bodies or alter anyone’s physical appearance, keeping your photos natural and authentic.
What type of file do you provide for the edited pictures?
JPEG in high quality.
What type of file do you provide for all unedited photos?
Most people prefer JPEG format, but if you want the CR2 (RAW) format, you should let us know before the end of the session. If not specified, you will receive them in JPEG.
Note: Additional editing is available for +5 € per photo (minimum of 10 photos).
What happens if I forget to download my photos?
There is a 50 € fee to resend photos after the download link expires (30 days).
Can I replace some edited photos?
If you need extra photos, you can purchase all the unedited pictures and request further editing (5 € each, minimum of 10).
Can I post your unedited photos, or edit them myself before posting?
If you’d like to post unedited photos or photos you’ve edited yourself, we kindly ask that you don’t tag or credit us in those posts, as we haven’t edited them ourselves and they may look different from the finished images in our portfolio.
Can we have enough time to take photos with different backgrounds during the 20 and 30 minute sessions?
Yes!
Where do we meet?
We will share the exact location after checking the weather forecast a few days before the session.
Can the session include multiple villages?
Multiple villages are available starting with sessions of 1.5 hr.
Can I have two villages in a 1-hour session?
Sessions involving two villages require at least 1.5 hours.
Where do you work?
During the high season (April to October), due to the high demand, we work exclusively in Cinque Terre (Monterosso, Vernazza, Manarola, and Riomaggiore).
Depending on our availability, we may also be able to travel to other locations.
For sessions in Santa Margherita Ligure, there is an additional fee of €100, due by cash at the end of the session. This upgrade also includes 10 extra edited images.
During the high season, we are generally not available for sessions in Portofino. On the rare occasions when we can accommodate a session there, an additional fee of €150 applies, due by cash at the end of the session.
I don’t feel very confident about my body. Can you use AI?
We focus on natural beauty and authentic, candid photography. We do not use AI or other editing tools to retouch bodies or alter physical appearance.
• What should I wear?
We recommend colorful clothing to match the vibrant Cinque Terre scenery. We highly suggest pastel tones. Please avoid black, white, or gray outfits, as well as heavy logos or stripes.
Is there a best moment for the photo shoot?
We have captured pictures at every hour of the day, and we’ve realized that every hour has its own charm. What makes a great photo is the photographer’s ability to play with the light.
What’s the best time for a photoshoot to avoid the crowds?
It depends on when you’re visiting Cinque Terre. From April to October, early morning is usually the best time for fewer crowds and beautiful light. The weather also plays a part, and we’ll help you choose the best time for your session.
If early morning doesn’t work for you, no worries! We know the area well and have photographed plenty of sessions during busy daytime hours. A little patience goes a long way, and we know how to make the most of each location.
Our portfolio includes photos taken at different times of day—even at lunchtime, with plenty of people around! Can you tell which ones? They may look like we had the place to ourselves, but that’s often far from the case. Whatever time we shoot, we take the time to keep other people out of your photos. It just takes a little patience 🙂
Which session would you recommend for a child under seven?
In our experience, 30 minutes is ideal! It gives us plenty of time to capture beautiful memories without making the session too long for your little one. A full hour can be more demanding on a young child’s attention, so we find a shorter session keeps things relaxed and fun for everyone.
We’re visiting Cinque Terre with another couple. Can we share a photoshoot?
We only offer private sessions for each couple, so you’ll need to book two separate sessions. This allows us to give each couple our full attention and deliver the quality you see in our portfolio.
How many photographers/filmmakers are included in each session?
Our approach is non-invasive, and each session is handled by a single operator who manages both photography and filmmaking.
• How long would you recommend staying in Cinque Terre?
We recommend at least 3–4 nights to explore the villages, try a few activities, or simply enjoy nature and settle into the Cinque Terre pace of life. Staying a few days also gives us more flexibility to reschedule your photoshoot if the weather doesn’t cooperate, depending on availability.
What happens if there’s a train strike?
No worries—if you’re staying in one of the five villages, we can reach you by car. Driving to Cinque Terre takes considerably longer, so an additional travel fee of €200 applies. This also includes 20 extra edited photos.
If you’re staying elsewhere and need to take a train to reach Cinque Terre, we’re unable to offer the session during a train strike, as we can’t be sure you’ll be able to get there.
What happens in case of rain?
First of all, no worries. If the weather looks uncertain, we will check the forecast day by day. The weather can change quickly, so don’t worry if you see rain a few days before the session — it often improves. If needed, we will find the best solution to make the session happen!
In case of uncertain weather, payment is not required 24 hours before the session, but we will stay in touch until 3 hours before the session. If you decide to proceed with the reservation, full payment is required via PayPal before we catch the train to the selected village. If you prefer not to confirm, no payment is required. From our experience, we see that with a bit of flexibility, we can usually find a way to make it work and create wonderful photos. If the weather is severe, we will reschedule without additional costs if notified 2–3 hours before the session.

I have a particular relationship with my partner. Can I request specific types of photos?
We understand that everyone’s relationship is unique. However, we cannot accommodate personal dynamics that may impact our workflow. If you choose us, you are trusting our vision and approach to ensure the best results.
How can we stay in contact?
We can discuss everything via email. We use WhatsApp only for emergencies.
